The site is in the city of Coventry situated approximately 4.3 miles West of Coventry city centre.  The site area measures 11 hectares / 27 acres. The site comprises of a agricultural field.

The topography of the site gently slopes away from its highest point in the southern most corner to its northern most edge at its lowest point.

The site sits adjacent to the railway line on its northern most edge. Westwood Farm is a grade II listed building and its associated buildings and access tracks are located within the central field of the site and is excluded from the site boundary.
